Friends here were sorry to. learn r>f the death of Mrs. W. A. Gilbert, who was born and grew to womanhood in this community. She was a diligent worker in the Sunday school and taught the primary class for many years. There are many grown-up today who. will never forget the Bible stones told' them by Mrs. Gilbert when they were children. . Mr. and Mrs. George Waldo spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Sebring in Oil City. Mr. and Mrs. William Morgan, Mr and Mrs. Ray Maynard and children, Harold and Helen, Mrs. Nellie Maynard spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs Ray Morgan in Oil City. Mr.'.and Mrs. Leo Sturges and children, Herbert Ross, Mr. and Mrs James Ross, Mrs. Pearl. Gilson, Mrs Carrie Billig, Mrs. Ruby Marvin and Mrs. Bertha Ross attended the funeral of Mrs. Allie Gilbert, Tuesday at Titusville. Mr. and Mrs. O. W. Gilborn entertained Mr. and Mrs. Otto Gilborn on Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. Charles BilHg entertained their children for Christmas the following making up the party. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Holtz and'children of Pleasantville, Mr.' and Mrs. Clyde Billig, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Billig and family of Titusville. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gilborn spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. G o Kerr at :Shelmadine. Mrs. Rebecca Engle of Titusville spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. G C. Greenawalt. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Reed of Hydetown spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. N. L. Reed. Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Vrooman, T E Sullivan, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Sullivan and son, Billie, of Hydetown, Mr. anc Mrs, Stanley Henton and daughter Mr. arid Mrs. Ross Putnam of Corrj and William Mars.-of Titusville spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. James Ross. Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Blanchard have been confined to the house by sickness Mrs. Carrie Billie and sons spent Christmas with Mr. and Mrs. Raymony Boyles in Titusville.
