Owen Sandmire, 27, is the 341h member of the Janesville unit of the 192nd Tank battalion to be reported safe. News of his liberation liberation was received received this week by Mrs. A. J. Scoville, Evans- ville.v from the sergeant's mother, mother, Mrs. L. S. Sandmire, who now resides at Richland Center. Center. No news has as yet been received c o n - cerning Lt. Leroy Leroy Scoville, Tank battalion officer.; • A war department telegram Mr. and Mrs. Sandmire received Oct. 5 stated that Sgt. Sandmire had been returned to military- control Sept. 15 and would soon be_sent back to the United States. In the telegram telegram was incorporated a message from their son whicli read, "Safe and well. Will be home soon." Sgt.
