Vmm Buna — Berwick Weekend Guests At Oxendine Home Nbnne Tollett Mr. and Mrs. Charles Oxendine has as weekend guests her cousin and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Butler, and grandaughter, Maria Butler, Kechi, Kan. They attended Sunday School at the Berwick Presbyterian Church, Sunday morning. Mrs. Bernice Nimmo visited Sunday afternoon with an old friend, Mrs. Mattie Monett. Bradley, of The Ladies Missionary Auxiliary of the Berwick Church met Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. Bitha Douthitt and Ina in Fierce City. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. King and daughter, Grace, Alton, Okla., were Friday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. James Davidson. Mrs. Charles Pitcock tripped and fell on the sidewalk in Joplin Wednesday of last week. She later suffered a light heart attack while attending Clarence Weaver's funeral and was taken to Freeman Hospital where whe was dismissed and returned home. Mr. and Mra. Jim Atterberry had as their dinner guests Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Stansberry and sons, Mrs. Nichols, Jack Reber and daughter, Marilyn, Carthage. Mrs, Laura York enjoyed a visit Sunday from her daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Landreth, and their daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Troy Luna and their little son, all of Springfield. Mr. and Mm. Carl Brown called on Mr. and Mrs. George Lasswell, Thursday. Bobby McGill visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bob McGill, over the weekend. Bobby returned to Columbia for a few days study when he will be reassigned to a new place. He was formerly stationed at Van Buren. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Nimmo and David, and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Isley and son, were Saturday dinner guests of Miss Freda Nimmo in Sarcoxie. Mrs. Bess Brown entertained Thursday with a dinner honoring the birthday of Evelyn York. Those enjoying the event were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mulvaney, Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Ferguson, Mrs. Avis Lasswell, Mrs. Donna McConnell, Mrs. Nell Cowan and Mrs. Elmer York and the honoree. Mrs. Charles Oxendine entertained her Sunday School Class Saturday afternoon in the Berwick Church basement with a hamburger fry. The following children attended Sherry and Terry Shepherd, David Wormington and one guest, Debbie Wellbaum, Monett. Mr. and Mrs. George Geister were Saturday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Ferguson. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Brewer and Bill, Carthage, were Sunday afternoon guests of Mrs. Norma Tollett.
