Green Bay Fire Damage Two Million GREEN BAY Ml—Damage of two million dollars was counted Monday after a spectacular fire burned for hours in a 1,000-fool long warehouse packed with paper products, pulp wood and pa- pcrmaking equimenl. There were no injuries. Firemen expected the burning stocks to continue to smoulder through today. The blaze, in (he McDonald Lumber Co. warehouse, was discovered shortly before 8 a.m. and burned out of control for several hours, sending flames 100 feet in the air after the roof caved in. Three firms had supplies and equipment stored in the concrete block structure. Only the blackened walls remained after the flames were brought under control. Charmin Paper Mills estimated its loss at about one million dollars, while Bay West Paper Co., said its damages amounted to $150,000, and Green Bay Paper Pulp Co. figured it: lost $125,000. Chester McDonald, owner of the structure, said the damage to the building amounted to $800,000.
