YOUTH, SHOT BY ROBBERS, -^f Three er Sought After Fatai Payroll Holdup TULSA, Dec. 28— <#3— -Jess A. Whitechurch, Jr.,. 17, died in a Tulsa Tulsa hospital today of a bullet wound carelessly inflicted Monday 'as three robbers took a $963 payroll from him and a boy companion near Wolco, in Osage county. The boy alternately rallied an4 failed, but before he died he re-? gained consciousness long enough- .; to identify a photograph of one ofr tho robbers. Three suspects now are held arid, a fourth, Jack Ford, Tulsa police' character, was the object of a wide search. A warrant for his arrest; chargnig robbery with firearms, 1 was issued this morning before it was known at Pawhuska that Whitechurch had died. One of the suspects held, Harry" Newton, 35, was arrested iirbkla"-: homa City yesterday and brought to the city jail here for Sheriff Dick Conners of Pawhuska. The' other two were reported "en route'* today. Tulsa records showed them transferred to Pawhuska jail, but at Pawhuska they were reported still held at Tulsa, Their names were given for police records as Kerrait Blevins, 31, and John Con- drny, 28. Young Whitechurch accompanied Mack Sykes, Wolco store employe, to Bartlesville Monday, where they cashed a number of checks for oil company employes. They wore acv costed by the robbers on the re;urn re;urn trip. ,
