HOBART H. LONG CO ALTON -- Funeral services were held Oct. 21 at May view Funeral Home, Jackson, for Hobart H. Long, 66, of Coalton. Mr. Long died Oct. 18 in an Oakhill hospital where he had been a patient for two weeks. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. David (Barbara) Hummel of Rt. 1, Ohio City; a son, Tom of Wellston and six grandchildren. GWENA MCBRIDE ADA -- Gwena Me Bride, 91, of Ada died at 1:30 a. m. Tuesday in her home after a short illness. She was born Aug. 9,1884, in Elida, a daughter of the Rev. Andrew J. and Flora (Baxter) Stemen. She was married to Bert McBride on March 7, 1913. He survives along with four sons, Robert, Andrew and Howard, all of Ada and Nelson of Thoreau, N. Mex.; four daughters, Mrs. John (Elizabeth) Pizor of Union Town, Ruth McBride of Columbus, Mrs. Ernest (Gertrude) Thompson of Rockford and Mrs. Clarence (Leota) Barker, of Westfield, Ind.; 25 grandchildren, grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Stanley Stemen of Van Wert; four sisters, Mrs. Helen Keefer and Mrs. Lilian Click, both of Florida, Mrs. Mary Anders of Warren, Ind. and Gertrude Johnson of Ohio City. Mrs. McBride attended the Ada Baptist Church and was a member the Greenbrier United Brethren Church in Van Wert County. Private funeral services will be held at .10 a. m. Thursday at Hanson Funeral Home in Ada, with the Rev. Ray Shepard officiating. Burial will in Allentown Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p. today in the funeral home.
