Mrs. Chester Lackey Dies At Age Of 53 Mrs. Edna Lackey, 53, of 590 E. Front St., died at 6:15 p.m. Thursday at Hocking Valley Community Hospital. Daughter of Mrs. Maude Bright Hite of Logan and the late George Elmer Hite, she was born and lived all her life in Logan. She served for seven years as chief deputy in the county auditor’s office and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Esther Esther Russell Circle. She is survived by her mother, mother, her husband Chester, a son George of Logan, a daughter Mrs. Robert (Ruth) Tobias of Dayton and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and a brother Ralph, who died as a prisoner of war in the Philippines in 1944. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Leonard Leonard Funeral Home with the Rev. R. W. Faulkner officiating and the Rev. Edna Hughes assisting. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday. The family has asked, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Hocking County Cancer Society.
