Edgar Atchisson Dies At 83; Rites In Hamilton Co. Bdgar Atchisson, 83, a formftr resident of DelafieJd, died at 7:13 a. m.. Monday at the home of his son, OrvU Atchisson, 616 north 58th . street, East St. • Louis, with whom he had been living. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. in. Thursday at Union Baptist church, near McLeansboro, with the Rev. Rudolph Schlagg and the Rev. William Auxier officiating. Burial will be in Liberty ceme- tco'. near Ewing. The body will lie in state at the Gholson Funeral Home in McLeansboro where friends may call at any time. Mr. Atchisson was bom Jan. 31, 1878, in Hamilton county, the son od! Hiercsn and Maritta (lUchard- son) Atchisson. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Maude Atchisson of East St. Louis; two sons, Orvil Atchisson of East St. Louis, and Edgar Atchisson, Jr., of Mt. dem^flts, Midi.; four half- sisters, Mrs. Sarah Williams of Lincoln, Neb., Mi-s. Maude Huf- stuttler, Mrs. Qara Massey and Mrs. Mae Stephens, all of Mt. Ver»on. Mr. Atchisson w-as a member of the Delafield Baptist church.
