START WORK ON NEW ELEVATOR New Grain Belt Co, Plant Will Have Capacity of 300,000 Bushels. Excavation work for the foundation of tho new 300,000 bushel elevator, which is to be constructed on Nelson street, just south of the Santa Fe track for the Grain Belt Elevator Co., was started yesterday, according to G, D. Kstcs, one of the managers of the now firm. In addition to tho construction of the headhouso with a capacity of 110,000 bushels, the ccmpany has decided to build tank storage to increase the total capacity to 300,000 bushels. The elevator is being built by Chalmers and Bortbn, a Kansas City contracting firm. The building is to be completed about the first of December. This new elevator, which is being started together with the Western Terminal elevator in the Grandview addition, gives the Hutchinson market more than a half million additional bushels of grain storage capacity.
