Scholastic Awards Made Liberty High School recently announced the names of the 1978 I.HS Scholastic Award Winners. English award winners were David Rabel and Lauren Murphy, English I; John Forney and Holly Herndon, English II; Patrick Goudeau and Linda Davis, English HI; and Ron Guillory and Tina Vinson, English IV. Winners in the history category were Ricky Poorbaugh and Rita Roeder, American history; Dare 11 Pruett and Debra Dewveail, world history; and Roger Frost and Debbie Robinson, government. Spanish winners were Kary Craig and Cindy Benge, Spanish I; and Jerry Bird and Brenda Flngleman, Spanish II. Award winners for algebra were Art Barkis and Lee Ann Malone, Algebra I; and Mike Stephenson and Michele Johnson, Algebra II. Other math winners were Greg Parker and Kim Poynor, geometry; and Philip Lombardion and Kathy Goodwin, trigonometry. Science winners were Guy Carr and Rhonda Magnusson, physical science; Mike Conway and Katheleen Hughes, Biology I; and Kevin Rhodes and I .aura Tanner, Biology II. Wade Davis and Cheri Ballew, chemistry; and Stephen Norman and Tami Wiggins, physics; were other science winners. Freddy Perry received $350 as recipient of the KPXF. Athletic Scholarship, given in honor of school uiperintendent Joe I^eonard.
