Logan of Greens boro, which took place January 15, has Just been announced, and was a rest surprise to the relatives of the counle. and to all except a very few of their friends. , The marriage took place in the study of the First Baptist church, and was performed by Rev. W. M. Vines, the oastor. A few irienaa were let mio the secret and attended, going -one or two at a time to the study, so as 'not to attract attention. After the marriage Mr. Logan returned to Oreensboro, where he remained until last night, when he returned here.. It In understood that there was no objection on the part of Mies Patterson's relatives to the marriage, except they wished it to" be postponed about a year. Humors of the marriage, leaked out, and a relative of the bride Insisted on seeing the license record at the court house and found that the reports were correct, and Mr. Logan was notified to return and all would be forgiven. Next Monday Mr. and Mrs. Logan will leave for Washington, where they will remain until after the inauguration, when they will return to Oreensboro to reside. Mr. Logan Is chief deputy under Marshal Mllllkan, with headquarters at Oreensboro, where he Is also an attorney. He has visited Ashevllle often In his official capacity. Mrs. Logan is tha daughter of Mrs. M. J. Patterson of this city, and is much admired by a large circle of friends.
