JAMES E. McAFEE James E. McAfee, 65, of 234 Lower St., Pardeesville, died at 9:40 a.m. yesterday in St. Joseph Hospital where he was admitted Saturday. Born in Milnesville, he was a son of the late James and Mary (Cartwright) McAfee, and was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Milnesville. Prior to locating in Pardeesville seven years ago, he lived for 15 years in Trenton, N. J. He was employed as a miner most of his life and was a member member of the United Mine Workers of America. Surviving are his wife, the former former Verna Fetchko, and the following following children: Mrs. Edmund (Marlene) (Marlene) Smith, of Pardeesville; Rodney Rodney James, at home, and Mrs. Joseph (Patricia) Johnson, of Las Vegas, Nevada. Two granddaughters, granddaughters, a brother, Albert, of Pittsburgh; Pittsburgh; a sister, Mrs. Florence Bernstein, of West Hazleton; and a nephew, Atty. Richard Bernstein of Conyngham, also survive. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday from the Frank J. Bonin Funeral Home, Second Street entrance, with the Rev. Henry Weitmann officiating. Interment will be in the St. Johns Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
