The Elgin plain-case sibling of the one with incised lines and black enamel

Elgins in the ad include not only several Legionnaires but also a Harvey Firestone and (AHA!!!) our mystery watch that is the plain version of the one with narrow incised lines of black enamel on the bezel. So a date of at least 1929 is proved -- Bruce Shawkey is dead wrong in his post on VWF claiming that it's the 1401 and has a date of 1933!
