Paine, who has charge of the tree planting on the Highland end of the Redland.s- Redland.s- Highland road, is having as much i rouble as a man with a new automo bile. He expected to have the trees out weeks and weeks ago, so they might get a start before the hot weather, weather, but one thing and anotner, appar ently unavoidable, has delayed the work. It was thought wise, owing to the sandy nature of the soil through which the road runs, to excavate a large hole and put in half a load or more of good rich soil from a distance.
