James Oscar Wainscott Obit - James 0. Wainscott Rites Tuesday Funeral...
James 0. Wainscott Rites Tuesday Funeral services for James 0. Wainscott, 58, of 110 E. Orange St. will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Precht-Pickering funeral home. Officiating will be the Rev. Delbert Admire, pastor of Lockewood Park Baptist Church, and interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Mr. Wainscott died at 4:15 p.m. Saturday at the Audrain Medical Center where he had been a patient since Feb. 5. Born in Centralia on June 7, 1914, Mr. Wainscott was the son of Hiram and Carrie Gooding Wainscott. He was married in Centralia to Mary Louise Stone on Aug. 8, 1942. Because of poor health, Mr. Wainscott retired on Feb. 28, 1971 after 25 years with Kaiser Refractories. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Surviving with his wife are his mother of Centralia, two sons, Howard E. Wainscott of Miami, Fla. and Larry G. Wainscott of St. Louis; a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Glenda) Munford of Mexico; three sisters, Mrs. Howard (Florence) Mason and Miss Elizabeth Wainscott, both of Centralia, and Mrs. Don (Velma) Marshall of St. Louis; a half brother, Edward Wainscott of Centralia; and grandchildren. His father and a half sister preceded him in death. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
