Obituaries Mrs. Edith Gifford Mrs. Edith C. Gifford, 90, of route 1 Riverton Township, Scottville, died Friday at the Blake Memorial Hospital at Bradenton, Fla. Born May 14, 1885 in Lake County, she was the daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Elon Castor. She was married June 2, 1958 to Ernest C. Gifford who survives. The couple has spent the past 17 winters at 3113 Cortez Road, Bradenton, Fla. Surviving in addition to her husband are two daughters, Mrs. Peter (Bernice) Babbin of route 1 Scottville, and Mrs. Clarence (Hazel) Nunn of Flint; step-children Wes and Marge Gifford, Herbert and Lillian Gifford, and Gale and Belva Gifford; 34 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her first husband John Squire who died in 1953, two daughters, Grace Benz and Phyllis Carr, one son, Elon Squire and one stepdaughter, Maxine Miller. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Stephens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd Hansen officiating. Interment will be at Brookside Cemetery in Scottville. The family will be at the Chapel from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday to receive friends. —Stephens Oscar Craig Oscar Craig, 74, of 2619 E. McMillan Road, Muskegon passed away at Muskegon General Hospital on Thursday. He was born March 26,1901 in Ludington and attended Ludington schools graduating from Ludington High School. He moved from Scottville to Muskegon in 1942. He married Hazel Vanlue on Dec. 9,1950 in Muskegon and she died Sept. 25, 1964. He was employed for Continental Motors in Muskegon from 1943 to 1965 when he retired. He is survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Beneven of Holton and Mrs. Kenneth (Mary) Burr of Muskegon, nine grandchildren and one great- grandchild. The funeral will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Young
