Alvin J McGuyer - 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Maxey Funeral Home...
2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Maxey Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. R. L. Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Little John Cemetery. Mr. Edwards was born Nov. 10, 1921 in Paris, a son of Erick and Martha Gunn Edwards. He attended Paris public schools and was 'a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church where he served on the deacon board. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Edwards was an employee of the Lamar Medical Hospital and later McCuistion Medical Center for a period of 35 years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. EarnestineEdwards; a son, A. V. Edwards of Dallas; five daughters, Mrs. Clara B. Pierce of Fort Worth, Mrs. Carrie J. Tunson, Mrs. Florence K. Jones and Miss Doris Edwards, all of Dallas and Mrs. Lorene Dillard of Paris; and one brother, the Rev. Earl Edwards of Paris. Survivors include seven grandchildren and one great- grandchild. Alvin J.McGuyer COOPER —AlvinJ. (Ike) McGuyer, 93, of Detroit, died this morning at St. Joseph's Hospital in Paris. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel with Bud Wickersham officiating. Burial will follow in Charleston Cemetery. Mr. McGuyer was born Feb. 28,1887 in Charleston, a son of Thomas Rufus and Harriet Oats McGuyer. He was a retired rancher and had lived in Delta County most of his life until moving to Detroit several years ago. He is survived by two sons, Olen McGuyer of LaHabra, Calif, and Wayne McGuyer of Pasadena; three daughters, Mrs. BurlBlevins of Houston and Mrs. Floy Adams of Detroit and Mrs. Loy Gritzmacher of Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. A son, Arnold McGuyer, preceded him in death. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Mrs. Olive Riddle TALCO — Mrs. Olive Orita (Spruce) Riddle, 74, of Wilkinson, died Wednesday in Titus County Memorial Hospital in Mount Pleasant. Services were to be held today at 2 p.m. in Bates- Cooper-Weems Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Pleasant. Burial was to follow in Bridges Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Riddle was born Sept. 11, 1906 in Titus County. She was a retired school teacher for the Mount Pleasant Independent School District. She was a member of the Maple Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include three brothers, E. D. Buchanan, D. W. Buchanan and R. W. Buchanan, all of Talco. Mrs. J.B. Delozier HUGO, Okla. — Mrs. J. B. (Marie) Delozier, 91, of the Golden Age Nursing Home, died Thursday in St. Joseph's Hospital in Paris. Services were to be held at
