TWlJCCUiUlED Jy,T0i . . .more of the Estalella stuff. Mr. Nobe Prank "Baseball, like golf, is a game that once it gets Into your blood, it is impossible to get rid of same. As an Old Timer, having played a lot of baseball In my younger days. I still follow the game very closely. Being located In Harrisburg. I have been a close follower of the your recent criticism on Estalella, and having heard some comments at the Allentown game Monday night, I would like to give my humble opinion - of this matter. - "First of all, I agree with you that Estalella is a liability tr the team as a third baseman. He plays too far t the left of third base with the result that a great many balls go for hits between him and the bag, which a good third baseman would get. The fact that Chandler, a catcher, is playing left field is all the more reason why Estalella should play closer to the bag. If the ball goes down near the foul line with a poor fielder like Chandler, the runner .gets at least a two base hit. "Monday night, a ball was hit between Estalella and third, which a stood third baseman would have gotten. This resulted in a run for Allentown the margin of victory, incidentally. Next, Estalella is not sure on either a thrown ball or a ball to his left. Monday night, on a throw from Leach to catch a runner coming into third base. Estalella muffed it. the ball caromed into left field and a runner scored that is two runs he gave them. Third. Estalella .tried to field an infield hit that the shortstop should have played the result, third base was left uncovered, a runner moved up from second, and eventually scored. Fourth, Estalella fielded a bunt, which luckily the umDire called foul, but could just as easily have called fair. The ball would have rolled foul, but innp nirked it un. Even Starr, the the above, you can see Harrisburg Quite a few other times this Year.. as a pitcher or catcher, or the outfield. Yours sincerely," "AN OLD TIMER." S l "TV Harrisburg Senators. Having reaa NOBE FRANK Estalella, rather than let the ball catcher called him on this. From could have won Monday night, and Take him off tfcird base, and try him
