FOOT BALL TODAY. St Thomas College 'lenm aud the Cnr - bomlnle Indians. At the Athletic Park this afternoon the St. Thomas college will measure their powers with the Carbondale Indians, who were defeated by Lackawanna a short time ago. Some good playing is anticipated and lovers of the sport will find themselves benefited by witnessing the contest. The line up of St. Thomas will be as follows: Left end, Manly; left tackle, Zang; left guard, Connery; centre, Cosgrove; right guard, Langan; right tackle, Kel - Iher; right end, Walsh; quarter back, O'Hara; left half back. K. J. Kirk - wood; right half back, Holtham; ifull back, W. O'Hora. The High School and St. Thomas teams practiced yesterday at the park. The Philadelphia Inquirer says of Weir, who captained the St. Thomas team last year, in the game between Villanova - and Lafayette, October 7: "Weir, the l.'i.'i pound quarter back, has no equal outside of the Big Five. Time and time again he pulled down the Lafayette heavyweights. His handling of the ball and t - ignul work were the features." Special mention is also made of Nolan, another man who played with the St. Thomas team last year. No one should fail to see the game of the season on Saturday. Both the Lackawanna and High School teams are hard at work training for the meeting and each will try to take the honors for their respective schools. Ollendyke will play with Lackawanna and combined with Brown he gives that team a very excellent chance to win. An old Scranton player. Connery, will play left guard for St. Thomas today. HALF BACK.
