George Blanker Dies In St. Louis The body of George F. Blanker, 58, native of the country north of Upper Alton, was brought to the Streeper funeral home «! noon today today from St. Louis, where he died Monday morning at 5:15 o'clock- The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock at the funeral home. Burial will tak« place in Insersol cemetery. George Slanker moved to St. Louis nine years ago and has resided resided there since. His death yesterday yesterday occured at his home, 2520 North Tenth street and resulted from heart trouble. His widow, Mrs. Ida Slanker, survives, also two step-daughters and one step-son. He was born on the Slanker farm north of Upper Alton on the Seminary Seminary street road. He spent most of his life in this vicinity. Four brothers, William, Christy and Frank Slanker of Alton, and John Slanker of St. Louis, survive. The late Benjamin Slanker, of Washington Washington avenue, was a brother.
