At a meeting of the subscribers to the Star State Jockey Club, of Corpus Christi, Texas, this day, the following proceedings were had : On motion of G. K. Lewis. Coot J. B. McCown was called to the chair, and R. B. Mom elected secretary. un motion or nr. mom, it was Resolved, That the Clab proceed to the election of a President and twenty - one Vice Presidents. and a Secretary and a Treasurer. McKinnr. H. P. Bee. R. R. Moss. G. B. Holland. H. Clay Paris. Jose Ma. Cabasos, Ed. H. Tarrant, W. H. Bourlond. Sam. Jordan, Albert Bailed, David Kandon, R. An trey, J. B. McCown Ed. Fannin, W. H. Seereet, J. P. HarrelL John J Benton, James Love, B. B. Brown. Lewis Durst On motion of Mr. Holland the club proceeded to the election of Stewards. The following gentlemen gentlemen were nominated and elected : . . i S. D. Mullownv. B. F. Neal. John J. Dlx, Jonn 8. Dillon, Mike Fannin, C. B. Hopson, Antonio Vela. On motion of G. K. Lewis, they proceeded to tbe election of Secretary and Treasurer; whereupon. whereupon. Capt Forbes Britton was nominated and ananimoasly elected Secretary and Treasurer. That the Star State Jockey Clab, at Corpus Christi Texas, shall, at its meeting on the 15th April, 1853, be governed by the rales and regulations of the Metoirie Course of New Orleans, Orleans, Lat: aad that the same shall remain la force until otherwise decreed by the clab.
