John Foy, former lecrctury of the state board of harbor commissioners and Berkeley capitalist, ind his niother-in-luw, niother-in-luw, niother-in-luw, niother-in-luw, niother-in-luw, Mrs. John Squires, were killed today In an auto-noblle auto-noblle auto-noblle accident on the Dublin road near Uvermore, about Ut miles from this city. ,Tred Foy, his sun, was badly Injured. The machine went over a bank and urned turtle rounding a curve. The latter sustained a broken leg and Mrs. Wiggins was cut and bruised. Foy was crushed under the 'ront of the machine, as was Mrs. Squires. The bodies of the Injured were removed to Livermore by passers-by. passers-by. passers-by. John Foy was a native son of this :ity, and a member of one of Its most prominent pioneer families. For many years the Foy homestead stood at the northeast corner of what is now Fifth street and Arrowhead avenue, and it was one of tho social aenters of the early days in San Bernardino, while the father, John M. He married married and made his homo in Berkeley, and In addition to having been active in northern politics, was also fortunate in his own business affairs and accumu lated a fortune, largely through real estate.
