Hugh, 91, of New Salem, a former Union Supply Co. store manager, died this morning in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Mary) Boyd of New Salem. Friends will be received at Dearth Funeral Home after 7 o'clock tonight. Funeral arrangements arrangements will be announced by the funeral home. A native of Fairchance, Mr. Hugh managed USCO stores in Oliphant, York Run, and New Salem prior to his retirement 1946. He was a member of the Salem Presbyterian Church, Fr'ick Pensions Assn., honorary member of the New Salem Vol. FireDept., and a former member member of the New Salem Rotary Club and a former trustee of New Salem Water System. In addition to Mrs. Boyd, he survived by three other children, children, Ralph B. of Smithfield, Thomas H. of Clarksburg, Md., and Mrs. Arthur (Helen) Jeffries Jeffries of Ft. Myer, Fla.; seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a brother, Carl, Fairchance. His wife, Nora, died in 1936.
