empty." George Tuttle Roberts, son of Alcinous Alcinous and Isabel Roberts, was born near Wiafield, in Henry County, Iowa, on October 23,1877. He died at the Methodist Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Nebraska, on March 28, 1930, at the age of 52 years, months and a days. His boyhood ™ss spent upon the farm home of his parents. He iSnSsh= ed High school at Morning Saa and took his college work at Iowa Wesleyan University, where he was prominent in Christian work and also in athletics. On December 27, 1905, he was united in marriage to Miss Nellie Springsteen oi[ j Decatur City, Iowa. Their parsonage home was ever a place of happy com- Jn aad •= gracious hospitality. Thrsc daughters were Dora to them, Vivian, Geraidine ana Helen. A conviction had come upon Mr. Roberts early in life that he ought to give himself to the Christian ministry. After much prayerful consideration he decided to respond to that call. He never regretted nor wavered in tnis decision. He was received on trial in the Des Moines Annual Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church in September, 1903. In 1305 he was received
