Lon Lockley death
Lon Lockley, Potosi, Dies Lon Lockley, 75-year-old retired farmer of the Potosi community, died at 4:14 p.m. Thursday in Hendrick Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was born Jan. 13, 1882, Ellis Cuunty. Tex., and cam e to Taylor County in 1899. He lived in Abilene before moving to Potosi. He ran a blacksmith shop Potosi for 30 years. Mr. Lockley was a member ot :rie Potosi Baptist Church arid Woodmen of the World. He is survived by three daugh ters, Mrs. M. A. Petree of Stanton, Mrs. A. J. SurnmeraJl of Berryville, Ark., and Mrs. M. R. Black of Searcy, Ark.; two sons, J. T. of Huntington Park, Calif., and Lonnie of Potosi; two brothers, A. F. Lockley of 818 Locust St., Cleve Lockley of 826 Locust St.; three sisters, Mrs. J. H. Davis of 873 Butternut St., Mrs. Curtis of Wichita Falls, and Cora Lockley, 818 Locust St.; grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Funeral plans under direction Kiker-Warren Funeral Home will be announced later.
