Henry B. Hoffman, of Upper Paxton township, was yesterday appointed Prison Keeper, vice Washington Simmons, removed. Mr. Hoffman is an honest, respected citizen of the upper end, and enjoys the confidence of the whole community in which he lives, as well as the esteem of citizens generally throughout the county, who join with us in endorsing the appointment as one eminently fit and proper.
