ffiff l'auttkent Authorized Council Okays Action On Future Drain Area By ANN IJN'DSAY ORANGE CITY The town council met Monday with Rodney Thursby, mayor, Alva Haynan, Claude Gilmore, Clarence Lane, W. T. Fiveash, James Donaldson, council members and Arthur Bowk ley, town clerk attending. First was the approval of bills due with the suggestion of Haynan that Tom Crews, maintenance man for Orange City distribute his gas purchases purchases among all the service stations located in town, and not confine his business to one place. THE SCHOOL crossing blinker lights are to be ac quired by the town, cost being being $420.85 with private con. tributions from Orange City P-TA, P-TA, P-TA, $75, Lions Club, $70, Bernard Leinfelder, $50, and Henry Boggs, $10, the balance to be paid Dy the town of Or ange City. It was thought advisable to enter into a contract with Woman's Club, V.I.A. was submitted and accepted, spec ifications being that the prop erty located on Holly Ave., site of the former recreation hall, be used for a recreation center for the benefit of Or ange City, including the shuN fie board court.
