The assault was the outcome of the bringing of a charge of perjury against Meadows, the complainant being Mrs. Frankel, whose attorney Timmons was, and that circumstance also doubtless inspired the threat made by Meadows while he had the attorney ccvered with bis gun, that unless the sum of $500 In dispute between Meadows Meadows and Mrs Frankel, were forthcoming forthcoming on the following day, he would kill both Timmons and Frankel.
