Deaths and funerals FIEDLER — Funeral services for Mrs. Lydia Fiedler, 74, of David City, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Knott Funeral Home, David City with the Rev. Richard Dinsdale officiating. The body will lie in state at the funeral home 3-9 p.m. today. Burial will be in the David City Cemetery. Mrs. Fiedler who died June 27 at her home, was the daughter of Mike and Mary Klement Berniklau and was born June 7, 1899 in Valparaiso. She was married to Paul Fiedler Nov. 26, 1918 in Wahoo. Survivors include her widower; two daughters, Mrs. Wilma Patocka and Mrs. Mamie Patocka, both of David City, and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Agnes in infancy and Emma. Colfax Sheriff GLUR — Mrs. Mary Glur, K2, died this morning at home, 1421 Ninth Street. Arrangements are pending at McKown Funeral Home. Fireworks recovered SCHUYLER - A 15-year-old Schuyler youth was apprehended yesterday morning following an investigation by Police Chief Marlin Kracl of a break-in of the fireworks stand owned by Norval Krocger. According to Kracl, entrance was gained by cutting metal bars on the garage window. Missing was $300 worth of fireworks fireworks later found in near-by bushes. Charges against the youth are pending.
