Mr. Hinton will assume his duties as Supervisor of Health and Physical Education for Calcasieu Parish Schools. Mrs. Hinton is on the faculty at Forrest K. White. They will reside at 150 Overhill Drive in University Place. Kathy Marie will be in the second grade at Dolby and Herbert, Jr. will attend kindergarten. Mrs. Hinton will be remembered as Mary Virginia Louque and has taught in Calcasieu Parish for many years. * * * ATTENDED SESSION: Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Stringer, Maplewood, and Mrs. D. L. Hoskins, Sulphur. Sulphur. members of Love Chapter 209, attended the Mississippi Grand Chapter Session, Order of the Eastern Star, held last week in Jackson. Mrs. Stringer, newly appointed as the grand Representative Representative of the Mississippi Grand Jurisdiction in Louisiana, Louisiana, was introduced and given a special welcome by Mrs. Bernice Roberts, the newly installed Worthy Grand Matron of Mississippi. Approximately twenty other Eastern Stars from various sections of Louisiana Louisiana who were in attendance were also introduced and welcomed. * * • KAT'S MEETS: The Lake Charles Alumnae Club of Kappa Alpha Theta met in the home of Mrs- Laurence P. tindemuth, 4318 Pleasant Drive on Friday. The business meeting was conducted by Mrs. Edward J. Sheldon, Jr. president of the club and was followed by luncheon and bridge. One teacher, eight graduate students, and 16 undergrads were initiated on this occasion. Miss Asprooth. who will graduate in May, is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward F. Runte of Lake Charles and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vernet J. Asprooth of Jackson, Miss. Mrs. Asprooth is the former Edoire Runte of Lake Charles. Edie has been on President's list throughout her college studies. * * * PRE-NUPTIAL COURTESY: Sally Edwards, bride-elect, was honored with a miscellaneous shower on Friday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Joe Estes.
