THEBAYTOWNSUN Wednesday, January 26,1972 Lee College Spring Registration Completed Registration for the spring semester of the 1971-72 school year was held Jan. 12-14 at Lee College. The registration procedures this semester were new. There were a total of nine stations at which each student was involved in getting medical medical forms checked, code numbers numbers listed, parking permits, identification cards and "computerized." FILM SERIES The Student Government is sponsoring a film series consisting consisting of 14 films. There are 10 remaining to be show. VOTER REGISTRATION Mrs. Bessie Durham, registrar, registrar, and Mrs. Gertrude Teter, counselor, have been deputized, deputized, and they can register people to vote until Jan. 31. Qualifications to register are as follows: (1) on the date of applying for registration, a person must be a citizen of the United States and is subject to none of the disqualifications, other than non age, and (2) within 30 days after applying for registration he will be 18 years of age or older and will have resided in the state for one year. The procedures involved are filling out an application for voter registration and. then receiving receiving a voter registration certificate. CHOER The LC choir has begun practice for the spring semes- .ter. Section leaders this semester are as follows: Dianna Colburn, Colburn, soprano; Judy Bernshausen, Bernshausen, alto; David Killer, tenor and John Savell, bass. Mary Jane Mac-Donald is librarian. librarian. Members this semester are Pat Barfield, Becky Barker, Debbie Chandler, Candy Cook, Beverly DeLoach, Gary Goss, Elaine Johnson, Marsha Lestarjette, Lestarjette, Steve Lestarjette, Kenneth Ott, Shirley Schubert, and Ricky Seely. Also, Renae Smith, Elyse Turla, Fannie Tirner, Petra Washburn, Stephen Weatherly, Maureen Wendel, Tana West and Becky Zubik. Tom Stone is the director and Marsha Scale is accompanist. BANDS The LC band has attained some new members this semester. They are as follows: Harold Sweety, baritone horn; Robyn Cook, baritone saxophone; saxophone; Benton Broussard, trombone; Nolan Partin, trombone, trombone, and Barbara Biggers, flute. The state band has two new members. They are Richard Bordwell, bass, and Gary Goss, piano. Many activities, including a tour, have been planned, but no dates have been set yet. REBEL RUMBLINGS Sarah McGraw is definitely no Bob Hope . . . Mary just can't have fun . . . Campos is a tough coach . . Buddy Urban has a nickname. Karen Pavliska barely makes it to w o r k . . . switches . . . Walter Wells an accident . . . Debbie says "BOO" . . . Susan has a friend . . . Nancy Rougeou does too.
