ROBERT ARTHUR JORDAN (Miss Elizabeth Jane Sherman) Becomes Miss Elizabeth Jane Sherman Sherman became the bride of Robert Arthur Jordan In a double-ring ceremony at St. Tomothy's Episcopal Church Saturday. The 2 p.m. ceremony was performed by Rev. Donald F. Snyder. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Collins Sherman, 161 West Sevier Avenue. The bridegroom is the son of U. Col. and Mrs. Arthur Cleveland Jordan, 10811 Bryant Place, Oaklon, Va. WEDDING MUSIC was presented by Mrs. Mary Lee Wilson, organist. The sanctuary was decorated with two 15-branch brass candelabras and arrangements of white carnations, carnations, white snapdragons and baby's breath. The family pews were marked with bouquets of pink pompons, purple statice and baby's breath. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor- length gown of candlelight peau-de-soi featuring an empire waistline. The bodice of chantilly lace featured a scooped neckline trimmed with scalloped lace. The long sheer sleeves were trimmed with lace appliques. The floor length skirt and long chapel train were edged with lace and pearls. HEK BOUFFANT veil of English imported silk illusion weas held in place by a cameo cap of lace and pearls, matching matching the gown. Miss Kathleen Brown served as maid of honor. She wore an A-line floor-length gown of petal rose crepe. The empire bodice featured a high neck outlined with ecru lace ruffle. Matching lace trimmed the bodice and long fitted sleeves and a soft belt of the same material was tied in back. B R I D E S M A I D S w e r e Barbara DeLois Sherman, sister of the bride; Nancy Sherman, cousin of the bride; Janice Lynn Jordan; sister of the groom; and Peggy Sue Ownbey. Flower girl was Nancy Sherman, cousin of the bride. John K. Cullaty served as best man and Kenneth Mark, Paul Puckctl, and George Michael Randall served as ushers. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Holdiay Inn where Charlotte Childer presided over the bride's book. THEBumE tSa graduate of East Tennessee State University with a B. S. degree in secondary education. She is a Second Lieutenant in the UOTC Sponsor Corps and a Panhellenic Dorm officer on the Parliamentarian board. Thegroom isa senior at East Tennessee State University where he is marjoring In Environmental Health. He is a member of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity. After a wedding trip, the couple will reside at 119 West Pine Street in Johnson City.
