Sponenberg, Owen - Boys, Wanting To See World, Sent Back To Homes...
Boys, Wanting To See World, Sent Back To Homes Starting from their respective homes in Berwick last night at 9 Robert Milo and Owen Sponenberg, each 14, experienced a rude interruption of their ambition to see the world when they reached Danville. There they were- standing on a curb trying to "thumb" a ride on the next leg of their journey when a police officer happened alon and asked a few questions. The reluctance with which the youngsters responded aroused his curiosity and shortly afterward a telephone call to Berwick confirmed his belief that the youths were headed in the wrong direction. The greatly relieved parents of the boys immediately made clans tn go to Danville to retrieve the runaways.
