A ways and means committee of representative representative colored organizations has been appointed to promote the interest of a large number of colored men who will be in the field for various ward offices. offices. Frequent conferences are being held for the purpose of trying trying to decide whether it will be most advantageous to go before the Republican Republican primaries or try to make a deal with the reformers and the Democrats to have some of the colored men placed upon their ward tickets.
