Pilot Hurt After Bailing Out During Army "Assembly" COLUMBUS. May 11 (UP)- Lieut. Elliot H. Blue, 24, of nearby Lockbourne army airbase, was recovering in a Louisville, Ky., hospital today from a broken leg and body bruises suffered when he bailed but of his P-47 plane yesterday noon. Blue, a member of the 332nd fighter group at the Lockbourne airbase, was injured while on a training mission in connection with Operation Assembly, giant seven state maneuver* involving the ninth air force and third army. * Blue's group of 33 planes was returning to Lockbourne when his plane started smoking and he was forced to bail • out near Frankfort, Frankfort, Ky.
