 - Jonathan Has Big Assignment Don Leo Jonathan...
Jonathan Has Big Assignment Don Leo Jonathan made a big challenge on Angelo Poffo and Bronko Lubich, -but the 300-pound 6-6 grappler is well equipped to win a two-on-one bout. Jonathan has put up $500 that he can ptn both Poffo and Lubich in 60 minutes tomorrow night at the Armory. If he fails, Poffo and Lubich Lubich will collect. Don Leo will face one opponent at a time. He has requested that Prank Scoma of Benton Harbor referee referee the bout because Scoma makes the wrestlers fight and Jonathan fears they might try to out run him. An enraged Jonathan demanded to meet Poffo and Lubish after losing losing a bout here two weeks ago. Jonathan Jonathan and Poffo were even at one fall apiece when Lubich, Poffo's manager, pulled the ropes down with his cane tripping Jonathan out of the ring. Jonathan bruised a shoulder and was unable to continue leaving Pof- fo as the winner. Jonathan came out of the little town of Hurricane, Utah, and has been a real storm in the wrestling world. He recently won the heavyweight heavyweight championship of Texas and has beaten some of wrestling's top Btars. The semifinal tomorrow sends Larry Chene against Gino Angelo. Bad Boy Joe opposes Doug Linsely in the preliminary at 8:30.
