Corporal Daniel Tschudy Writes to His Parents. Mr. anil Mrs. Abraham Tschutly, of !iO.~> North Twelfth street, have received a letter from their son, Daniel Tschudy, who has re-eulisteil and is now corporal corporal of Troop II, Fifth cavalry, stationed stationed at Manila, P. I. Among other things In- states that they arrived safe and had a line trip, having left San Francisco on the 1st of July and reached reached Manila on the ^Otli. being :il days on the way. He continues: "We are •iliotit live miles from Manila and have bamboo barracks, but they are not much for rain. I don't think we will lay here long. Next Monday -we will get horses arid then I think we. will leave this place. There isn't much difference difference between this place nnd I'orto liico. the people and everything else being the same. As much us I have <een of Manila I like it. - There is not much to write about at present, as 1 lid not have time as yet to get around. but the tiest time I can relate more."
