UGH, UGH: Stone Hatchet, 67- year-old Chief Sachem of the Narragansett Indians, believes a national holiday in honor of the American Indian is a fine idea. With a trace of bitterness, the elderly chief of the 1,500-member 1,500-member tribe said in Rhode Island it would probably be the -only recognition recognition the Indian would ever get. "I don't see any recognition or help being given by the government government to the Indians as a whole all over the country," said the chief who is known here as Cassius Cassius Champlin.
