HARRISON SCHOOL The meeting called for Thursday night, September 13th, for the further discussion of Resolution No. 18, was well attented. The meeting was called to order by Efc 0. McDole who gave a short explanatory talk for the benefit of those who had not heard the resolution-discussed, after which a JJferma- nent organization was formed-for further work with M. B. Hallfofd as chairman, Wm. Wages, vice-chairman and W. W. Crow, secretary and U. E> Nickell assti-secretary. A publicity committee of representative citizens was appointed nad much interest was shown. The summer term of school closed Friday September 14. A very interesting short program was well rendered by the pupils. There will be a month or six weeks vacation. The teacher, Mr. E. O. McDole, expects' to visit friends and relatives for a short time. It is hoped that the.winter term will open with a larger attendance a/d will have a higher average than tire summer term. All those in regular attendance during the summer term made good advancement. There was a pie supper at the school house, Friday night. The proceeds are to be used to buy song books. The net proceeds were $11.85. There was a good attendance in spite of the rainy weather, with a number present from Bluff neighborhood. A good little program was rendered by the pupils of the school.
