Miller -was brought in on tho 2:10 train this afternoon from San Antonio, where (lied yesterday evening about G o'clock. Miller wns 70 years, fl months and a days old, and was a native of Tennessee coming lo West Texas in 1SJ5. Hc -ettled i)nnzales County in 3S55. In Ihls county has been his home ever since. Hc has held several public offices. His first was that of Justice of tho Peace, from !S, r »8 to 3SU3 In 18B he enlisted in the Civil War and until the end He wns married in 1E6G to Miss Martha Moven, nnri to them were seven ohtUlrcn, three ulrls and four boys Two of the girls and three, boys nre stili living. Mr. Miller was a very useful m-in At bis ueatjj lie was serving his third as Commissioner of Precinct No. 2. He also been Commissioner .several years n r r o and cot the name of being lho Commissioners' Commissioners' Court, of Gonzales County.
