Sarah Crisel Mt. Vernon Mrs. .Sarah Ella Crisel, Route 4-A, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Good Samaritan Hospital at the age of 84 years, four months and 24 days. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Myers Chapel, with the Rev. Arthur Smith officiating. Burial will be in Opdyke cemetery. The body will lie in state at. Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday. Mrs, Crisel was born in Jefferson county on Jan. 17, 1886, the daughter of Calvin and Mary White. She married Homer Crisel in St. Louis on July 12, 1922. He survives. She was a member of the Baptist church in East St. Louis where she taught Sunday School for many years. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs Irene Churchwell of Vincennes, Ind., and Mrs. Beulah Woodland of Mt. Vernon; a son, Homer Crisel Jr. of Granite City; four sisters, Mrs. Minnie Milton, Mrs Nora Ashby and Mrs. Emma Houseworth, all of Mt. Vernon, and Mrs. Ada Storment of San Antonio, Tex.; a brother, George White of Mt. Vernon; 11 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
