The Pallbearers. The pallbearers included Senator Root, Andrew Carnegie, Henry W. Taft, Gen-Tasker Gen-Tasker Gen-Tasker H. Bliss, Gen. Horace Porter, Gen. William Crozier, Gen. T. H. Barry, Gen. H. G. Sharpn Hamilton Fish, H. 11. Kohlsaat. lr. Robert Abbe and others. Honorary pallbearers representing the military order of the Medal Of Honor, were Gen. Laniel E. Sickles and Gn. Horace C. King. Bishop Samuel Fallows of Chicago and Chaplain E. B. Smith of Governors Island had charge of the services in the chapel. The honor of, serving as guard to the caisson bearing the coflin on the march through New Y'ork city went to an escort composed or General miss, temporarily in command of the Department Department of the East, and his staff: (Jen. U. F. Roe of the New York National Guard and his staff, and the U. S. Grant post of the. Grand Army of the Republic.
