EAGLE EVENTS Adeline Johnson Brings First Prize to Girls High School. By O. R. PILAT. For the first time In the history of the Current Events Bee spon sored by The Eagle, a girl last night won first prize and aided her school to come out ahead of 16 other Brooklyn schools in the struggle for possession of the team award. Last night's bee, the 14th annual one. was held before a crowd of 1,500 which took nearly every seat in the large modern auditorium at James Madison High School. One after the other. 32 of the contest ants missed, first one, then two, of the Questions asked by H. V. Kal tenborn, associate editor of The Eagle, who acted as Interrogator. Finally only two contestants re mained, a girl In a green dress from Girls High School and an Arista man from James Madison High School Itself. Knew Who Sold Stable. The finish came quickly. The question was asked: "Who sold. his hunting stable last month?" Adeline Johnson, the girl in the green dress, answered without hesi tation, "The Prince of Wales." The audience gasped, wondering If the answer was right. It was, and the interrogator turned to George K. Fenster, the other finalist. "Who Is acting Governor of the Philippine Islands? " he asked. .
