Mrs. Tompkins lived in Hopedale until six years ago when she went to live with her son. She was a member of the Hope- Hope- aaie Methodist church. Mrs. Sarah E. Sands HOPEDALE. (PNS) Mrs. Sar ah Enly Sands, 78, died at 8 p. m. Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Hackley at Mattoon. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Saturday at the Hope- Hope- dale Methodist church. Burial will be in Shiloh cemetery. Mrs. Sands was born in Posey county, Ind., the daughter of Wil liam and Margaret Ely. She wae married to William P. Sands. Mr. Sands is deceased. Surviving are the followinz chil dren: Two daughters, Mrs. John Haskely, Mattoon, and Mra. Han nah Stanberry, Charleston: two sons, Sam and Harvey, Hopedale; brother, Presley, Odessa, Mo.: four elsters, Mrs. Parthenia Brlt-ton, Brlt-ton, Brlt-ton, Peculiar, Mo.; Mrs. Kate Mohr, Melvin; Mrs. Mattle Wilcox. Okla homa City, Okla. and Mrs. Nettle Denlow, Decatur. She was a ur.ember of the Hope- Hope- aaie jwetnodist church. -M IflU f
