After a pause to give the hundreds hundreds of veterans there a chance to move out peacefully, the khaki line, steel-helmeted steel-helmeted steel-helmeted and in full battle equipment, moved forward with tear gas bombs and fixed bayonets. The cavalry with drawn sabers pressed the charge, and the job was quickly done despite resistance.
