Guard Reviewed By Gov. Romney CAMP GRAYLING (AP>—Gov. George Romney takes to the reviewing reviewing stand as commander-in chief of the Michigan National Guard for the first time today. Almost the entire Michigan 46th Infantry Division — some 7,500 men — will snap to at the command command "eyes right” as they pass the reviewing stand shared by Romney, Maj. Gen. Cecil . Simmons. Simmons. division commander, and other dignitaries. Shining brass, highly polished boots and khakis stiff with starch will be the order of the day as the traditional “Governor’s Weekend” gets under way. The ceremony also marks the 50th anniversary of Camp Grayling. Grayling. It was founded in 1913 when Rasmus Hanson, an early lumber man. deeded 13,000 acres to the Michigan National Guard. Romney also will deliver a memorial memorial address in ceremonies here Sunday. Thousands of wives, children, parents, friends and sweethearts pour into the camp as the Guardsmen Guardsmen enjoy their first real relaxation relaxation since the two-week training period began last Saturday. j | | j j j ! j j ; ! j
