Far Rockaway, L. I. Jan 6 - The high tides which accompanied the storm during the past thirty-six hours have almost overwhelmed Hog Island. Franks' pavilion and Gibson's bathing house were washed out to sea, and Caffrey's pavilion and other buildings damaged. It is feared if the storm continues the buildings or the beach will be washed away.
