Tentative plans and specifications for a two-story briok building have been under consideration- for some time and with Uic substantial donation by Mrs. Mugivan, it is prob- ablo that the structure will be built this summer. The school project will cost approximately $100,000, it is understood. The trustees of the school arc now negotiating to acquire two additional lots just west of the playground a,d joining the present scb.ool and this is understood to be the only obstacle remaining to delay the awarding of construction contracts. It will be necessary to raise additional funds to complete the total a m o u n t needed. The church's financial report in January showed approximately $35,000 in the school construction f u n d , which ; with Mrs. Mugivans donation, makes the total amount available.$85,000. St. Charles' parish had been considering the erection oC a new school building for a number of years a,nd the large gift from Mrs. Mugivan makes possible plans for Immediate construction of the building.
