He la also a cousin of Congressman Montgomery. After Montgomery's escapade with Musa Rothschild he was arrested, and public sentiment was greatly against him. Montgomery now says that love U behind the disappearance of Miss Rothschild, as she wishes to shield him. Just after the affair the father of the girl, who is quite wealthy, sent her to Lorent, France. Miss Rothschild secured passage on the steamer Lm. Qascogne, and arrived In New Tork but Monday. The agent of the steamer telegraphed Mr. Rothschild of the safe arrival of hla daughter, and he at once left Georgetown for Gotham to bring her home. A search of th city waa made, but no clew of the girl's whereabouts could be obtained. She bad disappeared as completely as If the earth had swallowed her up. Mr. Rothschild, the girl's father, was seen by The EMQ.UIKBR correspondent and Interrogated as to the disappearance of his daughter. Rothschild stated that he had gone to New York to meet her. but was unable to find her. He said that she had arrived from France Sunday, but since she arrived in New York he bad heard nothing from her. Her New York relatives had seen her safely aboard a south-bound train, and since then she hss not been seen. He Is much alarmed over the actions of the girl, and will employ detectives to locate her. Harry Montgomery stated to Ths Enquirer correspondent that he had received a number of Utters from Miss Rothschild since she went to France, and since her arrival in New York had heard from her twice.
