FREDERICK C. FINDEISEN FERRISBURG Frederick C. Findei-! sen, 74, died Nov. 23, 1984, in Ferris-burg at the home of his daughter, -' Elizabeth Markowski. He was born Aug. 19, 1910, in I: Philadelphia, Pa., the son of Elsie and j Charles Findeisen. Fred served in the Chemical Corps of the U.S. Army for 20 years and i retired with the rank of captain. During this time he was awarded the Army commendation ribbon, good conduct . metal, the cross for conspicuous service and numerous other commendations. He J served during World War II and the Korean Conflict and was dedicated to his country. .'r Upon retiring Fred spent 1 7 years in - North Creek, N.Y., where he was active in Fred's Group Square Dancers, the v Minerva School District, the Boy Scouts " and Adirondack Life. An avid rock col-V lector, Fred was the founder of the Long - Island Hounds in 1955. - Fred was married to Dorothy Rapp 't Findeisen, who died April 27, 1 965. ' He is survived by his three children, Frederick C. Findeisen Jr. of Alamo, j Calif., Elizabeth Markowski of Ferris- burg, Robert J. Findeisen of Kalespill, 2 Mont.; a sister, Carolyn Dietrick of New Cumberland, Pa.; eight grandchildren, Deborah, Kim, Meggan, Eben, Stephen, Judd, Robert and Sarah. ; Services will be held Sunday, Nov. ;J 25, at 2 p.m. at the Vergennes Congre-' actional Church. Following the service !3 friends are invited to attend a gathering ' at the home of Peter and Elizabeth 7 Markowski.
